Spotting and reporting suspicious activity

Find out how to spot and avoid some common job scams when looking for work as a caregiver.

Spotting and reporting suspicious activity

We’re committed to working with you to keep our community safe. Here are some common scams to watch out for and report.

Unexpected Reviews from Unknown Members

Be wary of reviews from people you don’t recognize or haven’t worked with. These “fake reviews” could be an attempt to manipulate your ratings, establish fake legitimacy for a scammer’s account, or phish for your personal information.

Job Postings with Unusually High Pay

If a job offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. Scammers often advertise roles with unrealistic pay rates, vague descriptions, and pressure you to act quickly or share personal information (like bank details or Social Security numbers) or even pay upfront “fees” for background checks or onboarding. These often come from entities claiming to be “recruitment solutions.”
