I have babysat many kids before and before that I had practiced with my nieces and nephews. I do have kids of my own that are a bit older now (14 and 10). So, I have been around kids and worked with kids for a long time. My longest job was 2 years, in Fresno, CA. Their mom had gone back to work when I started watching them. There was a toddler and two school aged children. I stayed home with the toddler throughout the late morning to afternoon. I would pick up the school aged children from school throughout their school year. I helped with school work, made lunch and occasionally dinner depending on the time or day.
