About Alex

Hi! I am a reliable, patient, and empathetic person who has approximately four years of working with seniors. I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2020 where I majored in Human Development and Family Studies. Throughout college I volunteered at a nursing home where I ran Friday afternoon bingo, played card games with the residents, and ran weekly classes to teach new hobbies. I also worked one-on-one with the residents in the memory care facility. Along with volunteering, I acted as a personal care assistant, where I would administer medication, transfer and get to and from activities and meals, and provide companionship. I am currently attending Occupational Therapy school where I hope to work with the geriatrics population once I enter the profession.
