About Alexia

I began working in childcare settings over 10 years ago and have served as a full-time nanny for 3 various families. I worked for three years as a preschool teacher in nature-based settings and currently serve as a middle school social work intern. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and understand lifespan development. For the last four years, I worked professionally as a Developmental Learning Specialist, one-on-one with children who struggle with learning. In this role, I also designed and implemented individualized homeschool curricula for students with neurodiverse learning profiles. I have taught yoga and mindfulness classes to young children and use these techniques to co-regulate and support the child's own capacity self-regulation. My approach to childcare is holistic, developmentally informed, and rooted in connection.
