About Alexis

I'd describe my personality as flexible, hardworking, and nurturing. I like tutoring because it allows students to get more individualized time that they may be missing in the classroom. Tutoring gives them the ability to get ahead at a pace more comfortable and catered to them. I'm looking for a job that supplements my work outside of the classroom and allows me flexibility to work with students and watch them make growth in a smaller setting than in the classroom. I started tutoring when I was in high school and then continued my education and pursued a career as a current elementary teacher. In my spare time, I like to hike, spend time with family, and my puppy. One thing you should know about me is that I am a current elementary teacher who is trained to scaffold and help students achieve their goals. My skills include being a bilingual, credentialed educator who prioritizes creating a positive/safe environment for all students.
