About Allison

Hi, my name is Allie and I will be graduating from Edgewood in May with my Bachelors and am completing a grad type program at UW. I have been a CNA for about 4 years now mostly working with adults, but I have also done volunteer work in elementary schools and working with homeless and at risk children and youth. My boyfriend has a daughter of his own who loves taking trips to the park, library, and children's museum. I like working with kids because the littlest things can make the biggest difference. I love creating a safe and special bond where they can both have fun and be comfortable. I have been looking after my brother since I was 3, shortly after he was born. He had been diagnosed with Celiacs disease and was very small for his size. As the big sister I had to make sure everyone checked his food for wheat and made sure no one teased him. One thing you should know about me is I am very outgoing and not easily put off. My skills include communication, patience, and compassion.
