About Amanda Elena

Hello! My name is Amanda Elena and I am Senior at Northwestern University. I study Theatre, Dance, & Theatre for Young Audiences. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. I'd describe my personality as bright, caring, and thoughtful. I like working with kids because they have the imagination adults can't even fathom. They make me laugh, have the best honesty, and are willing to learn. I'm looking for a job that will prioritize the care of the kids. If they need calming presence or need to let out energy, I will do that. I started working with kids when I was in high school, babysitting for neighbors with kids ages 6 months to 4. I've taught ages 2-7 dance and work with elementary school kids on the neurodivergent spectrum in sensory theatre. I love making kids smile, laugh, but more importantly I like leaving them with a memory they can look back on fondly. In my spare time, I like to dance, paint, read books, go outside, sing, and bake/cook.
