About Amanda

I have extensive child care experience with children of all ages. Starting as a teenager when I helped a neighbor who was a single mom to 6 boys, then as a professional nanny for more than 5 years during and after college, followed by the joy of raising my own two boys, now ages 11 & 12. I have also worked as a substitute & assistant teacher, in addition to working with foreign exchange students. I have also had the joy of volunteering with my churches summer kids camp in the preschool program. I have my bachelors in behavioral sciences with a focus on childhood psychology from Rochester University. I am a former foster mom to 2 wonderful girls & have personally hosted many exchange students over many years! I love to be silly & creative but know when it's time to be serious too. I love to plan fun outings but also enjoy days at home! I am happy to help out with household tasks, cooking, & pets if you have them, but of course my focus will be on your child(ren)!
