About Amanda

I have been working with children since I was very young and my father was the director of a local daycare center. I assisted teachers with games, crafts and different activities. I also helped children, ages 5-13, with their homework. In 2009, I started babysitting for a family with 4 children, ages 12, 7, 6, and 1. I was in charge of homework, games, activities, baths, dinner, getting them ready for bed, and cleaning up after them. Since then, they have had another baby that I have been taking care of since he was 2 months old. He is now 8 months old and I still babysit for this family till this day. From 2009-2011, I worked with a program, where I prepared and implemented lesson plans, helped teachers in their classrooms and read books to students at various levels. Since 2011, I have worked with Jewish Family Services in an after school program where I helped children with their homework and did arts and crafts with them I also served snacks and played games with the children. I love children of all ages and look forward to finding a family/families to care for.
