About Amanda

I am an occupational therapy grad student looking for some part time/casual work while I go to school! I like caring for seniors because I enjoy building relationships; learning about their experiences; and supporting their independence, well-being, and safety as much as possible. I'm looking for a job that provides some flexibility with my grad school schedule, but still an opportunity to build rapport over time with clients. I started caring for seniors when I worked as a home health caregiver during undergrad, but started volunteering at senior centers in high school. I have also worked in the activities department of a nursing home on various units, including memory care. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family, read, and spend time outside. One thing you should know about me is I am passionate about supporting and providing companionship to older adults. My skills include sensitivity, organization, and creativity.
