About Amanda

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, resilient and determined. I started working with kids when I was younger when I started babysitting for family and friends! Then I did tutoring for a while in high school, and now I'm a children's swim instructor. Through those experiences I've found I really like working with kids! In my spare time, I like to read and also love writing my own stories! I enjoy baking and cooking and trying out new recipes when I have the time!! I really like being creative and using that creativity to make new things. One thing you should know about me is that I strongly believe in the gentle parenting. I will not work with families that use corporal punishment of any kind. My skills include: Being able to calm down hectic situations and help process through "big emotions". Help problem solve in a way that they still feel like they're able to make some choice. And being able to make a fun and safe environment for them to learn and grow in.
