About Amelia

I'd describe my personality as laidback, outgoing and patient I like working with kids because I grew up as the second oldest of four siblings, my mom was a teacher and a single mom, it would often fall under me to cook, clean and care for them. I learned I loved to be nurturing, it also taught me that theres a lot you can learn from kids if you can possess those traits while also maintaining the caretaker role. I'm looking for a job that is longterm and steady, I would love to get to know the family I'm working for and build a trusting relationship with the kids as well. I started working with kids outside of my family when I moved to new york at about 16 years old. I am a passionate musician, my spare time is spent creating, studying and teaching music. I like to think I'm very understanding and I think it's important to be someone kids can trust and talk to.
