About Amy

Hi families! Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. My older brother and sister are both Autistic, and have heavily influenced my life. I began working at a daycare/preschool at the age of 16 years old. I cared for infants, toddlers, pre-school age children, and children up to 12 years old. I then went on to attend Georgia Southern University after graduating high school where I got my undergraduate degree in K-5 Elementary General Education, and Special Education. I am also currently pursuing my masters degree in K-12 Special Education, and will finish up this July. Currently, I am a 2nd grade general education teacher, and I love my job. I truly enjoy watching students learn, grow, and flourish academically. I also really enjoy working with children, and adults with special needs, this is truly a passion of mine.
