Originally from Brazil, now living in Sacramento, I've spent eight awesome years looking after kids of all ages, from tiny babies to energetic pre-teens. Started with family, then moved on to babysitting for neighbors and friends, and even got involved in cool projects helping kids out. Ashanti is the best nanny a child could ever have. My 8 month old velcro baby absolutely hated everyone, we tried plenty before we found Ashanti, but he smiled to Ashanti immediately. But besides my sons positive reaction, Ashanti was SO loving and SO caring. You can tell she absolutely loves her job, it comes naturally to her. She is incredibly patient and kind and sweet. Never gave up on my baby -believe me he can be difficult- and everyday found creative ways to keep him entertained. She sang to him, carried him around, always with a big beautiful smile on her face. And when he fell asleep she expressed she'd like to help with baby chores. She didn't feel comfortable sitting and doing nothing while he's sleeping, which says a lot about her character and work ethics. She is a true blessing, I one hundred percent recommend Ashanti for anyone who's in need of high quality and loving care for their children. Now my son is in daycare but she'll be the only one I'll call when and if we need help in the future.
