Ashleigh was one of the best caregivers that we worked with during an incredibly difficult time. She was kind, thoughtful and always went above and beyond. She helped not just the person she was there to take care of but supported our entire family. Most importantly, she was unbelievably compassionate and empathetic. Our care needs were to help take care of my husband who has physical and cognitive challenges as a result of a brain cancer. Ashleigh was incredibly supportive as our family navigated the challenges of brain cancer. Ashleigh would always be willing to work with our schedule. She would come early and immediately jump into work. She would take the time to sit and have conversations with my husband for hours about every subject under the sun, while she helped him with eating, drinking, going for walks, bathroom, and more. She was always very gentle in supporting my husband without ever making him feel like he needed the help and support. She would spend hours practicing cognitive skills with him. Outside of supporting my husband, she was willing to lend a hand in any way to help support our family during this challenging time. There were almost no activists that she said were outside of her scope of duties, which was a huge help when things got overwhelming. She would occasionally help cook meals with my husband, run errands with him, fold laundry, and more. During this time, we worked with a few caregivers, and I can unequivocally say that Ashleigh was our favorite and the best. If you need help getting care for your loved one and want them to be treated with kindness, respect, empathy and compassion while still receiving amazing care, Ashleigh is truly the best caregiver.
