About Ava

Through my previous years working with kids, I've developed many skills that have made me successful in doing so. I've cared for children of many ages and backgrounds, from my own younger brothers who are 7 and 11 to a 3 and 1-year-old brother and sister. My longest childcare opportunity was with 2 boys ages 6 and 8. I cared for them off and on for about 3 years, and consistently (5 days a week) throughout Covid for a year. Through caring for them I learned to effectively manage and redirect children through positive reinforcement strategies. Facilitate engaging activities, creating opportunities for physical activity, and hands-on learning. I would prepare and serve nutritious meals taking into account dietary and parental restrictions and preferences. Overall I know how to supervise and interact with children of diverse age groups, adapting to their unique needs, interests, and developmental stages. I'm looking for the opportunity to implement and grow these skills with new kids.
