I have 7 years experience as a caregiver. I have been trained to do almost anything one could need. I can bathe in a bathtub, bed bath, or shower. I can prepare meals and feed a patient. I know how to check a temperature, blood pressure, heartbeat, blood sugar and oxidation. I can use a Hoyer lift for bed ridden patients. I can help patients with ambulation. I can put a patient into a wheelchair and travel with it. I can hook up a wheelchair in a handicap van. I can give medication prompting. I can run errands. I can provide companionship. I can provide transportation. I have extensive experience working with patients who have dementia I have worked with mentally challenged patients. I have worked with patients who have multiple sclerosis. I have also worked with patients palliative and hospice care. I understand the importance of letting a patient keep their dignity.
