About Brenda

Hello! As a certified special education teacher and tutor with 4 years of experience I work with all learners of all ages from Pre-K to Young Adults. I have served my career as a teacher in inner-city youths with children dealing with various socio-emotional issues and other at-promise youth from elementary to middle school. I am trained in multiple curriculum programs for exceptional learners like Wilson Reading System, IMSE, Orton Gillingham reading and math etc. I pull from a variety of resources and use my training from my special education teacher program AND Master's degree to achieve measurable success with all students like those with ADHD, speech and language disorders, specific learning disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, traumatic brain injury, emotional disturbances amongst other disabilities. I believe every single child has strengths and it is important to identify and build upon them. Every child CAN achieve and succeed!
