About Callie

Hi, I'm Callie and I'm excited to expand my childcare experience from teaching to in-home care. I taught English and STEM abroad for 1 year in Thailand to ages 10-18. For the last 3 years, I've taught STEM at an experiential microschool in Midcity to ages 4-14. I'm neurodivergent and love working with neurodivergent kids or those with special needs. I constantly update my care techniques with the latest trauma-informed and child-centered strategies from diverse and intercultural resources. I'd describe my personality as socially-conscious, playful, and nerdy. I work with kids because I grow from their fresh perspectives and from helping them through difficult emotions. I'm looking for a job that helps me grow in the care field. I want to expand opportunities for healing and artistic expression. My hobbies include natural sciences, gardening, cooking, activism, reading, and mindfulness. My skills include routine setting, social-emotional learning, and holistic care.
