About Carissa

Hello Families! On top of being a nanny/ babysitter I have had many families ask me about tutoring their children. I have tutored for children in the ages of 3 years old for cognitive thinking and gaining child development skills. As well as high school students for mostly math and science as I have a strong background in both of those majors. I have also tutored/ prepared juniors in taking the ACT/SATs and find that it is important to understand test-taking strategies to assist in a long test as that can be the first problem to failure is lack of confidence in test-taking skills alone. I have a GPA of 3. 89, a high ACT score and more than willingly to assist in preparing for the ACT and/ or SAT. As I have experience with building up a better score on such a important test in our early academic career as we become adults. I am very open to teaching other subjects and feel I am very academically strong in all areas. I thrive on continuing education and expanding my knowledge.
