Hi there! My name is Carissa and I look forward to seeing if I might be a good fit to work with your family! I love to incorporate nature, social-emotional learning, and fun into my caregiving. I have been working with children since I was a kid myself. Both of my parents are teachers so I grew up learning about early child education. When I was about 15 I started babysitting and once I started college I nannied regularly and volunteered teaching environmental education in second grade classes. A few years ago I began working full-time in outdoor education as a park ranger. I taught elementary school children about our wonderful ecosystems and wildlife. I then moved to Colorado to work with underprepared youth, teaching social emotional learning and environmental education. I have a WFA certification, along with basic first aid and CPR. I am currently continuing my education to become a high school science teacher!

Carissa is engaging, fun and easy going! She loved my girls with the kind of energy that a momma loves! They were always making messes and playing games! It was a joy to watch them together and I would keep using her if she lived close! She had to go on her own adventures but if she ever comes back to the area I would hire her in a heartbeat!!! Highly recommend hiring this girl to love your babies when you aren't around!
