About Carissa

My childcare experience started at a young age, babysitting and teaching classes at church, then working at a daycare while attending college. I moved to northern Virginia 17 years ago as a live-in nanny, and since then I have worked with some amazing families. With ages ranging from three months - 17 years, I have assisted with homeschooling a child with special needs, worked full time with a preschooler to prepare for kindergarten, and most recently worked with a family with four children (infant - six years). I support open communication with the family and will help maintain or develop a routine if desired. Every day is an adventure- an opportunity for children to learn and explore. I am also accustomed to helping with things that make a family's life run more smoothly - children's laundry and food prep, random errands, etc.
