As a musician, nature lover, certified Holistic Health Coach, and yogi, I bring fun and creativity each day. With toddlers, I encourage movement activities and nature exploration, and use skills I learned as a piano/voice teacher to work through conflict in a calm and respectful manner. With babies, I enjoy talking and reading to them a lot to encourage speech early on and help them as they develop their kinetic and social awareness. I believe fresh air and observing other people/places is so important to children's growth and helps to calm the nervous system.

Carlene was our daughter's nanny from age 6-15 months. She is trustworthy, upbeat, experienced, flexible, easy to talk to, and became our daughter's best friend. She gave guidance on age-appropriate things to work on with our child, has a magic touch with getting a particularly wakeful baby to nap, and was always willing to help out extra to relieve our stress during particularly busy weeks. At our request she took our child on adventures (parks, zoo, etc) nearly every day, and communicated with us openly so that we were all on the same page about Covid safety. I feel lucky that my kid got to have a semi-normal and totally covid-free babyhood, exposed to all sorts of experiences in a safe manner, thanks to Carlene. All my mom friends are jealous, honestly. Carlene's the nanny jackpot.
