I am an Educator of Math and English, teaching at the critical thinking level. My focus is primarily on getting 'Elementary' children reading on, above, and beyond their academic grade. (Educating at the advanced level) I taught children to read who are now excelling in public and private schools. Many have gone on to college. I am an Educator with over 17 years of experience. I also worked with and attended to the elderly (care-giving, house-sitting, errands). The various levels of companionship towards seniors have led me to know that 'compassionate caring' is an extremely important part of their lives. I create an atmosphere of beauty and sunshine. I love to engage in conversation, reading, shopping, playing checkers & tic tac toe with them. I helped with light housework and cooking.

Carolyn was a tireless worker in our quest for the Virginia, 7th Congressional District. She spent long hours supporting the campaign and was instrumental in getting people to support our efforts. I have personally spent time with her family and am proud and happy to call Carolyn my friend. Her children are a reflection of their mother, being high achievers, good students, personable and very intelligent. The first time I met Carolyn she read me one of her poems and I was so impressed with the depth of her feelings and the wisdom of her words.
