As a first-time mom very familiar with newborns, I expected to feel more confident than I did when we first brought L. home. We had significant feeding struggles in the beginning and Chelsey was an absolute lifesaver. She identified the root cause and provided me with as much support as L., while I considered action plans and worked through all the emotions. From the moment she walked through the door, Chelsey's sense of humor, empathy, and wealth of knowledge grounded me. She guided me through every step of caring for my baby, answered all of our questions with patience, and provided invaluable support and encouragement to my husband and me. She cared for L., but she also cared for the adults stepping into our new roles which was unexpected and invaluable. She is so dialed into the developmental changes from newborns to infants to toddlers. She gets the biological changes, but the best part is how she has supported L.'s social-emotional growth and developing sense of autonomy (hello toddler feelings!). Chelsey is so playful and silly him- he loves his Che Che. We're so humbled to have her in our village even though we're not in the same state anymore.
