I do not have specialized professional experience with the elder population. When I am out running errands for my parents, I often think how easy it would be to help other seniors with grocery shopping, the filling of prescriptions, etc. I am thoughtful, cheerful, and responsible. Seniors aren't valued by society- that same society makes it impossible to take adequate care of them. If I can provide support in any way, my aim is to do so. I have a full time job and the only time I am available is during weekends. I started caring for seniors since I could drive, as my grandparents lived with me and did not speak the English language; I was a translator of their experience. In my spare time, I like to read and walk my dog. I take my obligations to others seriously, and would do any tasks in a timely and predictable manner. I I take my work to be a contract which I intend to honor. I can tolerate long driving distances, waiting in line, and negotiating administrative challenges.
