My top childcare skills include patience, adapted communication, and helping children learn how to advocate for themselves. For the past year, I have been working as a paraprofessional for special education, which I have loved! I've learned how to communicate with non-verbal students. Adapted communication is perfect when working with all ages. Working with special education has given me a world of joy, along with patience. My goal whenever working with any kids or students is to help them learn how to advocate for themselves. Tell a parent, me, or a trusted adult what they need and/or how they feel. This also helps when playing with siblings or friends. For me, listening is most important when with a child. Listening can make a world of a difference. With this, we can solve a problem , to learning how to play the game they want! I am fluent in Spanish, and I would love to teach your children if that is something you're interested in.
