About Christin

I received my Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University in 2008. I earned my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in 2013. I am a certified Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS 1). I have an endorsement to teach English as a second language (ESL). I am certified in special education to teach grades K-12. I have worked as a high school special education teacher for the last five years. In working with students in special education it is essential to find a way to build positive connections. I believe this can have a significant impact on the learning process. I incorporate various learning styles and methods into my classroom and lessons to meet the needs of each individual student. I am very creative, flexible, and patient in my teaching. I believe that each student learns and understands information in his or her own way. It is necessary to find what works and benefits each student. I truly enjoy working with students of all ages.
