While I may only be 20, do not let the age fool you- I have plenty of experience. My grandmother was diagnosed with early onset dementia in my childhood. Growing up, I would always offer to take care of her because I loved her so much. Even as only a 10-year-old, I did everything from giving medication, feeding her, bathing her, diaper changes, getting dressed, and even getting her up and down from her chair. Because of my grandmother, I have a lot of patience and empathy for the elderly and disabled. Now with even more years of caring under my belt, I was a nanny for the last four years, I feel even more confident in my abilities to care for others. I will give the same care, warmth, and affection to your loved one as I did my grandmother.
