About Claire

I'm a 21-year-old girl who moved to the city about four years ago (currently in Michigan but moving back to New York this summer), I'm about to graduate from the School of Visual arts working on a BFA in Fine Art. I lived in a neighborhood with lots of children younger than me and have always been responsible for them. This started my childcare career very early and I have always loved it. I started nannying at 16, over the summer I would work full time 5 days a week and when school started I work part time for that family helping with after school activities and homework and dinner. I am currently working at a Cook's Academy in Bloomfield Hills Michigan where I do it all. I work with all the rooms from Infants to the 6-year-old school aged kids working on-line. I am an artist so my favorite activities to do with children are craft biased. Most of my own art practice is heavily influenced by children. Although my degree is in art, I plan on going back to school for education.
