About Claire

After five years of teaching 8th/9th Grade Science in Washington, I have recently stepped away to shift focuses and move back to Montana. As an educator I was known for my enthusiastic, student-centered and fun approach to teaching. I am passionate about meeting students where they are at, and teaching them in a way that is meaningful and relevant to them. Although my specialty is science, I also have experience and certifications in executive function and study skills (AVID), social & emotional skills (RULER Yale center of Emotional Intelligence) as well as a passion for English and Intermediate Spanish. I am currently in school to become a Nationally Board Certified Health & Wellness coach, but would love to continue to use my educational skillset to help students improve their academic skills and confidence. I am currently tutoring one middle school student, twice per week, across all subjects. I have enjoyed the transition from teacher to tutor and am ready to help more students!
