I am an alum of the University with a Master of Social Work. I am in town for the summer before beginning law school. In addition to my professional experience with children, I've babysat for nearly 8 years. I returned in 2018 from a year of post-graduate service in Honduras, where I worked primarily in a caregiving capacity at a home for children 1-17. I am comfortable with children of all ages and abilities, and will work independently with each child to ensure they feel safe and comfortable in my care! I pride myself on my ability to connect with children and to make them laugh and smile, while at the same time ensuring your family's rules are being respected and your child is safe. Hiring a babysitter you don't know during a pandemic is stressful... but Claire eased our worries and was wonderful! My husband and I needed to leave for a dinner reservation (our first date night in over a year!) before our toddler was in bed. Due to covid, our daughter isn't used to having anyone else put her down for sleep at night. Claire agreed to come over the day before to play with our daughter, get to know her, and do some of the bedtime routine so that the following day would go well. Our daughter LOVED Claire and was asking about her first thing in the morning since day 1 and hasn't stopped. She was punctual, kind & caring, and even helped with other items around the house that I hadn't asked her to do. Can't wait to hire her again!
