About Claire

I grew up near Atlanta, Georgia where I babysat all through high school. I gained experience working with kids ages zero to 14. I moved to the Hudson Valley for college where I nannied for a number of faculty families on and off campus while earning my undergraduate degree in psychology. My senior thesis focused on environmental factors affecting healthy childhood development. After graduation I worked for the college for three years, running a tutoring program and supervising 30 college level tutors. I moved to New York City in March to pursue a year of competitive Jiu Jitsu before I return to school to get a Masters in Social Work next Fall. During this year I am eager to work with kids and families once again. I have six years of experience as a college and high school level tutor and 13 years of experience as a babysitter and nanny.
