About Clara

Hi! My name is Clara and I am 23 years old. I have experience working with children in a various settings. I supported a third grade class during the 2018 to 2019SY; I helped students inside and outside of the classroom through an AmeriCorps program called City Year. After that, I served for another AmeriCorps program from Aug. 2019-March 2020 called Changeist. I then nannied for a family with 2 elementary-aged kids for the 2020 to 2021SY. Last school year, I worked for an after care program at a local school and worked as a substitute teacher toward the end of the school year. This summer, I worked as a manager at a summer camp in Greenbelt. Recently, I have been gathering experience caring for toddlers and infants. I can recognize how much care children need; I can recognize when they need a break, need to pause to catch their breath, and how to keep them engaged.
