My experience of working with the elderly consists of 7-8 years of assisting with elderly relatives. This experience was soon turned into a part-time position that I now love. The years that I've spent working with seniors has afforded me the opportunity to learn a lot from just sitting and listening and being able to converse. While this has been a joy for me so many times have I heard from clients that being able to sit with someone younger keeps them young as well. I've worked with ages 70-90. All ages so far have been able to move around within their homes, but no more than that.
