About Colleen

I absolutely love working with children. I have been babysitting for babies and kids of all ages for years now, and also have younger siblings that I've had to watch over the years. I had a weekend job for about a year at a nursery caring for 1-3-year-olds, occasionally taking care of children below and above that age range. I also worked at an elementary school as a lead teacher for before/after school care for grades K-5. This past summer, I was a full time nanny for 2 children (ages 2 and 4). I am certified in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid, as well as Blood Borne Pathogens. Growing up, I was always very involved in sports and loved being outdoors. I also know the importance of reading every day with kids. Working in an elementary school, I got to see the difference it makes when you spend just a little time every day helping them learn how to read. During high school, I was a team leader for Vacation Bible School and I led various middle school retreats.
