About Dana

I am a creative and compassionate educator with a whole child approach to instruction. My experience is primarily with middle school students, but I am currently working at the high school level. I also have experience with elementary aged children during summer programs. I taught Language Arts for 11 years, including instruction for students with learning differences. I have valuable experience with strengthening students executive functioning skills and social emotional competencies. I recently completed a 95 hour certificate program for teaching children and teens yoga and mindfulness with the educational company Yoga Ed. I would be happy to compliment literacy instruction with some yoga and mindfulness practices should there be interest! *I am available from 3pm-6 p.m. on weekdays, but have more flexible hours during summer vacation!
