My mom is a preschool teacher so I've been around young children all my life. I've volunteered at her school, A World of Learning in Grapevine, TX, helping with child care tasks including changing diapers, lunch, arts and crafts, play time, and nap time for kids ranging in age from 2-5. I've also been a gymnastics coach for 3 years at Gymnastics Plus in Southlake, TX and was often in charge of preschool classes, but I've also coached kids as old as 13 and have volunteered as a coach for special needs gymnastics. Coaching has taught me patience, innovative and safe ways to entertain children, and different ways to help kids learn. Lastly, I've been a lifeguard for 2 years, which often involved watching over children of all age groups very carefully. I'm also CPR certified and know basic first aid.
