Hello everyone! I am a NYS Certified teacher and I currently teach Special Education in the Utica City School District. I am also a new mommy of my amazing daughter Ellie. I have a bachelors degree in Sociology and a Masters degree in Literacy. I am certified in Special Education, Childhood Education and Literacy. I am available after school hours and am willing to help your child with the NYS Common Core Curriculum! I am very familiar with all aspects of the curriculum and have 9 going on 10 years experience in a school district, as well as 2 years experience in a self contained school for students with developmental disabilities. With the difficult times at hand, I am willing and able to help you and your child with any remote learning and at home curriculum that your child has. I am available to meet and work through video call app meetings for a lower rate than my in person rate. I LOVE dogs and am a huge animal person! Daniella was a student teacher from a college, who participated in our classroom for 7 weeks during the spring semester of 2013. The class consisted of 5 students with special needs. Daniella presented herself in a professional and positive manner in the classroom. She was energetic and enthusiastic everyday. She appeared comfortable in the classroom environment immediately and interacted with all the student and staff with respect. The students really enjoyed their time with her and sought her out to play throughout the day. Daniella followed through with all requests from the teacher and demonstrated an eagerness to work with the students and learn about our daily routine. She took the initiative to set up the classroom every morning and requested to take on tasks throughout the day. Daniella developed lesson plans, prepared materials for the school day, and led the students during a variety of activities each day. She demonstrated the ability to work one-on-one with students and with larger groups. Daniella also demonstrated the ability to follow a teacher's lead when dealing with behaviors in the classroom by responding appropriately to the student or knowing when to remove herself from a situation.
