My experience as a child caregiver and educator started at the age of 14 as a babysitter for preschool through elementary school. While in college I worked with the special needs population and hearing impaired children. I started my career in non-profit education at the University of San Francisco in 1984. I prepared high school students to enter college. I moved to Vegas in October 2014 and continued working in education with Las Vegas Valley Charter Schools, CCSD and Nevada State College. I am currently long-term Guest Teacher, teaching 7th grade reading. I am cleared through the Department of Justice, FBI and Homeland Security. I am certified in Adult and Infant CPR/First Aid. In my spare time, I operate 2 home-based businesses. I enjoy educating, motivating and caring for children. I am pet friendly, smoke and drug free.

Darlene is wonderful, genuinely kind "sitter." Her background in Education is a great asset, as she does educational and creative play with my child; instead of just throwing him in front of a screen. Our son and dogs truly enjoy her company and I trust her implicitly.
