About Debbie

My name is Debbie, I have over 29 years of teaching experience. I am New York State certified in reading, special education , English has a new language and general education. I specialize in foundational skills, sight words , phonics, fluency, segmenting and decoding and reading comprehension. I currently teach first grade. I have experience teaching pre-k -5 th. I'd describe my personality as organized , hard working and caring. I like tutoring because it gives a more individualized teaching opportunity. I'm looking for a job that allows me to enhance the reading skills and increase. The students reading level. I started tutoring when as soon as I became a teacher. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, listen to music and spend time outdoors. One thing you should know about me is I teach sing various modalities. I like to use various approaches and strategies, it keeps it interesting. . My skills include reading , writing and decoding.
