I've loved children my entire life and have lots of experience with newborn, toddlers and through the teenage years. In fact, I've raised 26-year-old triplets who are college graduates. I've completed American Heart Association's First Aid and CPR certification classes for infants, children and adults. I have cared for up to 4 children at one time ranging in age from birth to 8 years. I have experience working with early intervention to make sure developmental milestones are met. I enjoy spending time with kids and making our time together full of fun and learning. Whether it's playing games, reading or doing active things together - I try to engage kids in meaningful activities that they enjoy while teaching new things. Moving forward, I am looking for part time hours helping to care for another family - whether it's children and or elder care. Diedre is amazing. We had a family wedding in the Cape + were staying at a rental for the event. I hired Diedre to sit for my two children (almost 3 and almost 1) 2 nights in a row. We were in the house with our extended family so there was another babysitter for 2 additional kids the same age. Due to the pandemic, our kids have never actually had a babysitter. So to get one for a one off was nerve wracking. Diedre was amazing. She made a point of connecting on the phone the week prior to get a sense of the kids interests and normal routines so that I wouldn't have to worry about trying to pass all the info in a rush. She was very understanding that the our "normal" might be thrown off with the excitement of vacation. She came packed with her own toys and activities that the kids LOVED. They ADORED her and it went so smoothly. She sent updates while were gone and gave us a great rundown when we got back. Please hire her! She is exactly what you need when they are visiting the area!
