Hi! My first experience with caregiving was both my mother and father, both having dementia and other health issues. I worked for a couple other Home Care Companies, now I am an independent caregiver/child care/nanny. I am certified as a caregiver, CPR and first aid. As an independent caregiver, I had a client for 5 months with dementia, I was responsible for showering, housekeeping, laundry, errands, cooking meals and companionship. I just ended with a client of 2 and a half years, client had dementia, I was responsible for her errands, some cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and companionship.
