About Devin

Hello! I'm a recent Boston College graduate with a degree in Psychology and Human Development. I am creative, energetic, and passionate about providing a safe, fun environment for children to grow and learn. While I have experience babysitting, my primary child care experience comes from my four years working at a YMCA Camp (2 yrs as a CIT, 2 yrs as a counselor), and two years working in Boston public schools as a pre-practicum teacher. As a camp counselor I worked with both boys and girls aged 7-13 yrs, visual and hearing impaired campers, and campers with special needs. In my experience working in Boston public schools I worked with a diverse group of K-5 students. I've worked one-on-one on reading with English Language Learners and students with special needs. Additionally, I am conversationally fluent in Spanish. I spent my junior year of high school (10 months) living in Madrid and attending Spanish public school. Began my college career as an Elementary Education major, & have 2+ years of Elementary Ed experience. Was a trained lifeguard 2011-2013. Was trained as an over-night summer camp counselor for 4 years and worked 2 years as a resident assistant at BC.
