About Dorothy

Hi! My name is Dorothy, I'm looking forward to pursuing caretaking opportunities through Care. com that will help me get to know my new(ish) Portland neighbors better. My experience includes reintegration after hospitalization, support (and encouragement) in rehabilitative movement, home management/personal assistance, and companionship. I find the most fulfillment in helping older adults get back to their preferred levels of daily functionality! In my current living situation, I take care of all domestic duties (cleaning, sanitizing, organizing, cooking, meal-prepping, etc.) and find joy in doing so. I am independently mobile and always ready for a task. I take pride in my work, I'd love to help your loved one regain their independence. I also have over 10 years of experience working in the service industry (events, server, bartender, cook, customer service, general hospitality) and am comfortable interacting with all sorts of folks; I'm happy to meet people where they are.
