I'm the mother to a 10-year-old boy and I live with my husband and my 92-year-old mother. I worked in a sub-acute/long-term care facility for 6 years as a COTA/L. I implemented care plans, retrained patients in their activities of daily living, developed strengthening programs, fall prevention and medication management. I thoroughly enjoyed my work and had some wonderful relationships with my patients. I have been described as honest, reliable, patient and compassionate..(with a good sense of humor). I am seeking a part-time position 2-3 days during the week (9 a.m. to 2pm) to be a companion, caregiver helper and therapy aide. I can assist with staying healthy with exercises and walking. I can do laundry once a week, make the bed, tidy up and serve a light breakfast/lunch. I am able to assist with shower and dressing and medication mngmt.

Eileen was the perfect caregiver for my husband who was recovering from several strokes. Her background as an OT proved most valuable as she implemented and created exercises to help him grow stronger. She showered him, served breakfast, and lunch, and took him for daily walks. With her quiet sense of humor, she created a compassionate and healing environment. A special find!
