I think the elderly are fascinating and I have had the privilege of helping my neighbor the last 4 years of her life. I took her to her appointments and often just sat with her. She was very independent and I knew she just needed a companion. I have been caring for infants and toddlers for 10 years but after my friend died I decided that I would like to be a companion, driver, listener to someone who just needs a friend. I believe many of the elderly just need someone to listen to them and be kind to them. I am a young senior who still has a lot to offer someone who needs attention.
