About Emerald

Hello my name is Emerald and I'm 27 years old currently living in Portland, OR. I have nannied and worked in night-care facilities on and off for the past 10 years. For the last two years I have been working as the primary nanny for a now 2yo who is starting preschool soon. I enjoy engaging with imagination and creativity, and helping children and parents both receive the support they deserve. I have taken child development/psychology courses in the past and hope to be able to go back to school to continue them. I believe that children deserve multiple mentors in their lives that will advocate for their well-being and guide them to be healthy, happy humans--it truly does take a village! I enjoy being a positive and gentle part of early development, and love nurturing imagination and emotional development through games/stories. Read-aloud is one of my specialties! I'm fully vaccinated/have received my booster and annually renew my CPR/first aid certification.
