About Emily

Hello Parents and Families! I am a 31-year-old college graduate who is passionate about children and is very experienced with kiddos of all ages. I am special education and early childhood education certified and currently work as a preschool teacher at a small private preschool. My past experiences have included babysitting, providing one-on-one behavior therapy, working as a teacher's aid and substitute teaching. I have also tutored regularly at the Stanton Center on a volunteer basis and have taught Sunday school and helped in my church's nursery. I'm a mom to a 7-year-old son and own two lovable dogs (both rescues-a beagle and a lab/pit mix). I'm also a licensed foster parent currently doing respite foster care only. I'm available to babysit primarily in the evenings and on weekends, but could also potentially help you on snow days or school holidays or in the summer months. I also love animals and am excited to be able to provide affordable, in-home pet care while you go away whether it be for a night or two or a week or two. I do not mind doing light house work, running errands or making simple meals for your children. On the pet sitting front, I am not an expert dog trainer by any means, but I will certainly keep your training going if you'd like or could work with your dog to begin to learn new commands. I will of course keep their routines including long walks or runs, daily tug-of-war or fetch sessions, specific eating times, snuggle sessions, etc.
