About Erika

I am a 45-year-old woman who has worked in the retail industry for over 25 years, which makes me an expert in customer care. Besides working, I have volunteered for many organizations like the leukemia/lymphoma society. I am the president of the board of directors for a community chest, which provides food and emergency funds for Webster residents. I currently volunteer at Heritage Christian stables where I serve as a horse leader and side walker for children and adults with developmental disabilities. I am seeking and training for certification as a hippo-therapy riding instructor. I also volunteer for Joyful Rescues, a non for profit dog/cat rescue, where I handle big dogs at adoption events. I have chaired the Relay for life events in Webster and chaired volunteer committees during my employment with Kmart and Target. I have worked in a group home with adults with varying degrees and diagnoses of developmental disabilities where I was responsible for general care including passing meds, assisting with feeding and hygiene, and supporting independence on these as well as community inclusion. I am a musician and artist, and love to plan and carry out fun crafts and activities for all ages and levels of development. I like to see others have fun and enjoy life!
